Who these terms are with

They are between you and MT Appliances Repair, 03, Ghosh Bari, Balisha Road, Duttapukur, West Bengal 743248. Throughout this page, "we" and "us" mean MT Appliances Repair, and "you" means the person booking the repair.

Booking a visit

A booking made through the form, by phone or on WhatsApp is a request for a visit. It becomes a confirmed booking when we confirm the slot with you.

We serve Kolkata and the areas listed on our contact page. If you are outside them, we will tell you when you book rather than after.

Quotes, charges and payment

The ₹299 visit and diagnosis charge is payable on the visit. Any repair is quoted after the diagnosis and started only once you agree the quote.

A quote covers the fault described in it. If the technician finds a second fault, or a part fails during the repair, we stop and re-quote before continuing.

Payment is due on completion of the work, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

What we need from you

• Someone aged 18 or over at the property for the whole visit.
• Safe access to the appliance, and to the power, water or drainage it uses.
• Any pets kept away from the work area.
• Anything you know about earlier repairs to the appliance - it is often the fastest route to the fault.

Parts we replace

A part we remove and replace becomes ours to dispose of, unless you ask for it back at the time of the repair. Say so before the work starts and we will leave it with you.

Our warranty

We warrant our labour for 30 days from the date of the repair, on the fault we repaired. Parts carry their own manufacturer or supplier warranty. Our refund policy sets out how both work in practice.

What we are not responsible for

We repair appliances; we do not insure them. Beyond putting our own work right, we are not liable for loss that follows from a fault or a delay - spoiled food, a missed appointment, or loss of income - nor for a fault in your electrical supply, water supply or drainage.

An appliance can be beyond economic repair, and sometimes that only becomes clear once it is open. If so, we will tell you, and you pay the visit charge only.

We are not an authorised service centre

We are an independent repair provider and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an authorised service centre for any appliance manufacturer. A repair by us may affect a manufacturer warranty that is still running. Our disclaimer page sets this out in full, and it applies to these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Kolkata, West Bengal have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The terms that apply to your repair are the ones published on the day you booked it, and the date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.
